Open book cut @ 4 1/4 inches.
I cut the cover in red and the 2 sets of pages in off white...I glued the pages down in the middle..pop-dotted the edges of the last set of pages from the book cover. I then glued the center of the pages, on the top layer, down in the middle.. put a pencil under the page and pop- dotted the edge of the page from the first set of pages to create the hump in the center that adds the real look of an open book.

It's "The Cuttlebug Spot" time again!!.... I get so excited when I finish one of these challenges for the Design Team.... but I must admit some of them are a real challenge and this was one of those... our only guideline other than using the Cuttlebug was to "use the word HOT"... the word Hot???... the word HOT???.... I kept seeing the word HOT a sombrero and a pepper... well I just knew that is the first thing anyone would think so I didn't want to go with that.... but then what left.... nothing in my little brain I can tell you that... usually I get these done early... but this one I made late Saturday night..... and I was pleased when finished it!!... but PEOPLE it turns out that you can make lots of things with the word hot!!..lots.... just check out The Cuttlebug Spot this week and see.... those ladies on the Design Team rocked!.... Clueless Jacks!

Click on any picture to enlarge.
First thank you everybody for your words of encouragement, your thoughts and your prayers!!... They meant so much to me and truly helped me more than you could ever know! ... hugs and love to each and everyone of you!.. Thank you so so much!

Now on to Clueless Jacks... I have Jack-0-lantern Peachy Keene stamps the inspired this card even though I didn't end up using them... I cut my pumpkins too large... but liked the size ... so I stayed with the pumpkins...working away on them making my own faces (yea! me!)... then I had 3 Jacks...and not background idea at all...so I decided on just black...then I thought of adding a cat maybe... but I couldn't add a black cat with the background...that is how the end card evolved...I just got so excited when I thought of the cat eyes!!!... and then I was able to make them somewhat how I wanted them... hope you like it!! Hugs, Jeannie

Flowers in Layers

I really am not sure at all that I like this card...my DH does... I just don't know.... I have completely lost my desire at this time to make cards.... I was just trying to get it back.... not only is my Lupus flaring, one of the worse flairs I have had in years.... I also got my feeling so totally hurt about my cards this weekend that I have that this is just useless feeling when I think of making a card.... maybe I will get it back.... I just did lots of hand cutting...then the print was so faint on the paper that even with the layers you couldn't really see the layers so I tried adding some doodling with markers... thank you for looking... Designed by Jeannie Thompson Phillips - Southside, AL
Click on any picture to enlarge.
Madison started her Accounting job at International Paper today!!... she was nervous and so was I for her!!!... and so was her dad!! ... we worried about her all day long ... my step-dad use to say "the best thing to do when you miss someone is to make or shop for them a present because that is a time you don't want them with you" so that is what I decided to do... thanks in part to DaShawana ... I saw her note cards this morning and thought oh I could make something like that for Madison so she could give thank you notes to people that have been really helpful to her a work... so that is just what I did... there are 8 note cards w/ matching envelopes... I wanted them not to be cutesy... more grown up and uni-sexed... the compass was chosen since it leads the way and people would be leading Madison... I hope that she likes them!! Thank you so much for looking!! hugs, Jeannie
