Baby Set

Handmade Designs by
Jeannie Phillips ~ Southside, Al
I have been working on this set the past week...started over on the blanket 3 times...but finally got the look I wanted for the center... The blanket is knitted on my DaLooms Infinity loom... and then I added a crochet border... the hat is knitted on one of my Knifty Knitter round looms...then I added a crochet border to match the blanket.... and then I used a pattern (don't faint)...I motified the pattern a bit to get the look that I wanted... I ended up with two sets of booties...one for a giant baby... the patter called for an H hook... I ended up using a G hook on the second pair so they would fit a baby... I did a few other changes too...so excited that I am learning!  Learning new things is so much fun. Too bad I didn't know that when I was in school!!... :o)   Thanks for looking... Hugs, Jeannie

Infant Toboggans

Handmade by Jeannie Phillips ~ Southside, AL
Robby took a nap...I couldn't rest so I decided to knit....  Last night I saw a lady at church with a little hat that she had had knitted (with needles) with red and white strips I fell in love with it...and knew I would have to learn to make me one of those... the first attempt I made was not going to work... but made a cute hat anyway so I finished it off...then I tried a different method that I got in my head after a few minutes... no directions... just trial and error...there is probably an easier way!!!... but this is what I ended up with and I am so happy how it turned out!!... the leftover  yarn I had on hand reminded me of John Deere Green and Yellow.. I love my Knifty Knitters!
