Hi Jeannie! Love your cafe anniversary card. I think it came out so elegant (even though you say it is simple). I have been considering buying these crik-its for a while now, but have kinda been on the fence. Now after seeing your video I really want them. I just love the possibilities of what can be done with them. Thanks for the chance to win them:) Have a blessed weekend and keep the videos coming..I love them.

I loved your videos Jeannie, as always!! I'm sure that your daughter and her husband will love their card! It came out SO SO GORGEOUS! The Jasmine font works so well with the Happy Anniversary sentiment and I'm glad you specified to hit "add to design" because I think most of us are so used to hitting "unload paper" that we would mess it up and have to start the project over! Thanks for the card, videos, and a chance to win some blog candy!

Jeannie, Your videos were so much fun to watch and very informative. I knew about the little "preview eye" but had not thought to use it like you showed us in your videos. I'm sure your daughter will love her anniversary card. I love the cafe cut, I'm going to try that cut with the old cricut markers. Hoping I win your great giveaway!!

I learn something from every video that you make. These pens seem awesome and since you are giving them such a big shoutout, then I know that they must be. Thank you so much for showing us this wonderful product, how to use them and for giving us a chance to win. :)

Thank you so much for the great videos. I am still new at using my Gypsy, so showing how to use the layers is very helpful. :-) And I love how your card turned out! BTW - I have the same green sleeve on my Gypsy! And one more thing, tell your dog that I said hello! :-)

I loved this card when I first saw it! I noted on one of the video posts that I have already been playing in DS to recreate something like this! On one hand, I'm disappointed as I don't have Sweethearts but this way I can make the card my own! Even though I don't have a Gypsy, I learned a lot from your videos. What I am doing (in DS) is creating my card with all elements on one page, and then just copying what is needed for each "layer" onto another page. As long as I do not move items after pasting, everything lines up perfectly! I loved your little pup's bark as you removed the pen from the holder. He wanted you to draw! Thanks also for the pressure tip - and the paper tip! I always just move the blade away from my project, but it's much better to just put a paper underneath. I can't believe I did not think of that! Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure to link up my project when it's done!!
PS I have a little giveaway (two actually!) at my blog. You are welcome to join the fun at www.smallbitsofpaper.blogspot.com!

Jeannie, You make us all blessed with your cards and knowledge.. I love the cri-kits but with this video I might actually learn how to use my gypsy.. You explain so well and in detail.. thanks for the great giveaway!!!

Jeannie...we not only share the same name(different spelling!) but we have the same Gypsy skin!
I so appreciate the time and effort it must take to do this video tuts.
I have yet to do a layered type card on my Gypsy...but the first video helped to *See* how to do it...and your second video, its great info on how to use a few mats to cut out and also draw the design with the pens. Gives me a headache just trying to figure the layers out...but you reminded me I need to play!
Love the fact that there is a magnet within the pen holder. TFS!!

Hi Jeannie! I love your Cafe' card. It may seem simple but it looks so elegant. I love the Cafe cut and need to explore My Community a bit more. I don't have a Gypsy but you are certanily teaching me a lot. Thank you for all the tips on using the Cri-Kits. You explained how exchange the two housing units very clearly and the tip about putting the paper over the project while changing the housing was very smart. I don't own the Sweathearts cartridge but it certanily made a lovely card. Thank you for the chance to win these pens and housing. I look forward to seeing what other creations you come up with. The Lord has given you a special gift. Thank you for sharing it.

Love the card and video. The shadow cut looks complicated, and I never worked in layers before using the gypsy. This is one card I would like to try. Thanks for the chance to win.

Jeannie, I could listen to you talk all day :-)
Loved your detailed instructions on how to make that beautiful card. I admit, I was a little lost when you were talking about layers, but that's probably because I don't have a Gypsy! Those pens look like so much fun.

Sheila aka SassyLady said...

I watched your video twice as I really wanted to understand how you did this and you made it easy to understand. Layers is one of my favorite things about my gypsy. With these little pens the possibilities are endless! TFS

What an awesome card! I have to agree with you...the simplicity of this card is what makes it special. I would love to own a set of those pens and play all summer since it's been too hot to do much else. Your directions and screen shots are so clear and concise. You make doing projects like these so easy. I feel like I'm in a Gypsy class with you teaching. I love that. Thanks for pointing out the "add to design" feature that is so very important in using these pens. As creatures of habit, we would do otherwise. I appreciate all that you do in sharing your designs with us.

Oh, Jeannie, without your vidoe's and fabulous directions I would be much further behind than I am with my Gypsy. I always learn so much from your instructions. I generally just go with trial & error until I get it but you save me from oodles of errors!! I hadn't yet tried the "add to design" option but am off to try it now. Thanks for sharing your talents and thank you for the opportunity to win this amazing little pens ~ they seem like lots of fun!!

Jeannie,
I watched both videos even tho I don't have a Gypsy. I use "another program" that is similar for adding layers and the way you explained using the layers for the Cri Kits was so very thorough and clear! Nicely done!
I'm originally from PA and am living in North Carolina. The people here say I have an "accent"... they've just never heard YOU say "Dubbya dubbya dubbya dot..." (-:

Oh Jeannie I just Love this card! Love the directions, I even got my G out and tried it as you went along. See I just got my G a short while ago and still learning. I've been a DS gal just since Dec. but went a got the G for the portability factor and I'm lovin it so far. I have Sweethearts and Jasmine but need to get My Community which is something I've been putting off but I had better just cave and get it, lots of great things on there. I would love to make something like this and I'm going to have to improvise since I have no pens but I'm sure I can come up with something, And give myself a learning lesson on my G! LOL TFS Jeannie, Your a Doll!

Wonderful card, as always! I always watch your videos and view your blog. :0)

Thanks for explaining the layer tabs on the Gypsy. My Gypsy just arrived a couple of days ago, so I have been learning to use it. I have not read up on how to use it yet, was just messing around with it last night and was wondering if the Layer tab was the same as the page tabs on DS, and it seems to be! LOL!

Thanks for the WONDERFUL cards you create and share!

Your videos were very informative. I have tried the Cricut brands pens in the past but was not happy with the way they worked, but the Cri-Kits seem to do a beautiful job. All of your tips on using the G were also helpful. I tend to use DS more frequently (old eyes can see the screen better), but with the latest update to the G it is getting easier. Beautiful but simple card, TFS.

Oh my goodness what a great card, I wish I had have 1/2 your creativity to come up with these ideas. I dont have a gypsy but I am sure this could be done in cds. I will have to add it to my things to try. I also Love how you decorated the inside of the card, the crikits are perfect for this. Thank you for sharing your wonderful creations with us =)

Thanks so much Jeannie for your video! I have the Cricut markers but haven't used them yet because I didn't know how. Now I know how I could do them! I would love to try w/ the Cri-Kits pens. You're giving away a fabulous package. WOW. Thanks for also showing how you got the detail on the cafe so perfectly on your card. Most of us do push unload mat. We'll just have to remind ourselves to NOT push it. :)

Thanks again!

I watched both videos and so appreciated all the detailed instructions. I went back and looked at the screen shots of the Gypsy and that was a big help too. I really had not understood the layering and how it worked so really appreciated your helpful videos. Have a Mac at home -- not been able to use DS on it--love getting such good instructions for the Gypsy. Thank you.

Hi Jeannie!! Your anniversary card is so beautiful :o) Thank you again for all the personal help you have given to me these past few months, I really appreciate it!
Thank you for a chance to win this great give away!! I have the Cricut markers made by PC but the lines the make are always to thick for what I want to use them for and I had never seen or heard of these until your video!

Alice said...

Hello Jeannie,
So I thought that I would be creative with my "detail" that comment. So this is what I came up with....your puppy made an appearance on you video (with his sneeze?) and this time on this card you didn't use your yellow ATG gun =)

But thank you for showing that you can add tabs on the top for layers...I am learnign so much and I can't wait till I am able to get my gypsy and try some of the techniques that you demonstrate so easily =)

Congratulations on the card...it's so wonderful and it looks like you are having a grand ol' time with them =)

Hi Jeannie
I love this card and the simplicity of it is what makes it sooo beautiful! I can't believe it's a year since Madison got married it only seems like yesterday that I was commenting on what a beautiful bride she was!
Fab video as always I am a DS girl myself but you are enabling me the more I watch your videos!! The eyeball feature sounds so much better than the one on DS as it show all your layers, the option to show one or two sounds great!
Those Cri-kut pens look super and give a whole new look to what can be achieved with our Cricuts. Thanks so much for the chance to win

Wow, your videos are great. You make everything so easy to understand. The Gypsy is catching my eye more and more... i don't know how much longer I will be able to resist.. lol I use DS and love the layers on that to. But haveing the laptop with me is kind of limiting. Isn't that funny, who would have thought technology would bring us this far.
Anyhow, love the video, your card is awesome and the pens just give so many projects unlimited potential. Very generous give-a-way.
Have a great 4th of July!

Oh Jeannie! This card is devine! I love it (as I do all your work). And I learned something in the video! I didn't know what that little eye meant but I was wondering if there was a way to turn off the layers. Thanks for teaching me something new! I can't wait to try those pens. Keep up the good work!!!

I would love to make that card. It is so sweet. I don't have my community. I should look around for something else that I could use. I haven't been too successful with lining up the pens and markers so they are in the same spot as the cutting. I heard your puppy's comment. She wanted attention also. I would love to win the Cri-Kit pens. Thanks for the videos. I don't have the Gypsy. I have DS.

This is my first time here, but I'll be back. I watched your videos. They were really detailed. I love how simple the Anniversary cafe card was. I like the Black and White (if it was me I would have opted for something red just for a bit of POP!!!)

I never knew that there was such a pen and I had always wanted a thinner line because I feel like the markers that provo craft makes are a bit too thick sometimes.

I would just love to win those pens they are very cool!!!!

Take care and thanks for sharing I will be a follower now. Glad I was hoping around the cricut/Gypsy messageboard.
