Today I did some things that I needed to get done… God has been nudging me!… so when I took my nap I prayed for a card… woke up with this one in my head…. I love this Meow cart…it is just so sweet… and we have a few cats along with our dog, Shaggy… I just couldn’t make it without my animals… to me animals are one way God sends his love to us…

This was suppose to be an easy card…but I had to re-cut the girl… I didn’t like how she looked when you layered her skin pieces…so I went back and cut her out in the color of her dress…and in the flesh color…and trimmed her dress away and layered it on top of the flesh color…it is much easier this way!!.. Looks much better when put together… I did trim a scoop out in the neck of the dress and added the white collar and the white lines on the dress with a white gel pen.

Real Estate Scarf

Designed by Jeannie Phillips ~ Southside, AL
I knitted this scarf on my Knifty Knitter... then I knitted the patches and felted them in the washing machine... then I needle felted the house and "for sale" on the patches... I used my Gypsy and Cricut to cut out the "for Sale" and use the negative space as a template for the letters on my needle felting!!... Oh the possibilities!... I can't wait.... Tomorrow I hope to make a card!!... Thank you for looking!... Hugs, Jeannie

Cricut Meets Knifty Knitter

I am so excited about this Scarf and Cap set.... I stumbled upon Mia's Etsy store... to get to her blog just click here... she does this beautiful thing called flocking!!!.... I wanted to try it to add to my scarves... so I knitted myself a little square and got out my Cricut and cut me out a pattern...the J is from Lyrical Letters... and it turned out so well I knitted me another square on my Knifty Knitter and cut out a flower from George for my pattern for my needle felting... and made me another patch... my husband then took me to Hobby Lobby to get yarn for me a scarf for my patches he loved them so much... and I then knitted me a Cap... and did yet another patch to match my scarf... I am so excited about what I am learning!!... remember this is my first attempt!!...... my next try is going to be actually felting my patch before I needle felt it... and see where I go from there... I was so excited to use my Cricut and Gypsy with my design on this... and on the possibilities!!!.. thank you so much for looking...and thank you Mia for your wonderful talent that you share!!!... Be sure and check out Mia's work... it is amazing!!!

Yudo... Love

Designed by Jeannie Phillips ~ Southside, Al
Here is my shirt that I made today... I am excited... and I learned a couple of things... the little smear of paint on the last couple of letters is from holding your squeegee too close to the screen...and pressing too hard.. I did this trying to fix something else that I did... I am not upset this is wearable...and I am learning and having so much fun... now....

I have to tell you about my mistake on my shirt!!!... you have to tape off around the stencil of the shirt... my shirt needed an extra coat... i rinsed the screen...let it dry let my first coat of paint get dry to the touch... then in my excitement I put my screen back on the rack... pulled my second coat of paint WITHOUT the tape... I had a streak of paint down the side.... first I thought well I won't cure this with the iron... i said to myself... yea like that will wash out like you want it too...ha ha!!!..then I got to looking at the streak the inside of it was straight the outside was more artsy... so I put that sucker back on the screen... pulled me an artsy streak down both sides... looks like it is on purpose...lol...

I did use my Cricut and Gypsy for this design...the Circles with the pups are from Paper Pups... the letters are from Learning Curve ...and the Stripes they are my own design... lol... Hugs, Jeannie

Flower Toboggan and Scarf

I am so excited about this project... I learned  to make these flowers with my smallest round Knifity Knitter...then I figured out how to make a different toboggan in my head and I just had to try it... it was a must!!... so I set to work this morning.... I used the next to large loom for the "boggin" and my long loom for this scarf... I did this just after I cleaned my Yudo screen and put an emulsion sheet on it which is drying!!!... and I have cuts from Paper Pups and Learning all laid out on my Yudo screen...I am  about to go burn that screen!!... I just have too, too much to do these days... I need to hire a maid...(yea right!!)  ... Thank you so much for looking!  Hugs, Jeannie

My Yudo Came Today... OH BOY!

This is my first project on my Yudo...and I am beyond excited...this is on a really, really old t-shirt of my husbands.... I bought an extra screen over the weekend...and cut this out of contact paper ... I did reverse the image.... I cut it on the second from the lowest pressure on my Cricut to cut... removed all the pieces where I wanted paint... this pressured left all of the back and just the contact paper cut and pealed off...this made things so much easier... I then added dry-wall mesh tape to the front to hold all the pieced in place...I pealed off the backing... put on my screen... removed the drywall tape... I did have to put a few extra pieced back in place... I squeegeed everything into place..and waited on my Yudo to come it... now I have an emulsion sheet drying... I am going to make my daughter some pretty napkins next... I am too excited!! Thank you so much for looking!!

I know this is so much like a card I made two cards before this one… but I kept having that card and that paper in my head… and a card I made a long time ago… so I just combined those two cards and came up with this one… I am so excited at how it turned out!!!… If I had a blue room I would frame this one in a shadow box frame.. But I don’t… and I don’t know anybody that does… this so reminds me of the living room of the house I grew up in… the room that I got married in almost 30 years ago… it would have been so pretty in that room… oh I could cry right now… I hope that you love this card as much as I do… I hope you all have a wonderful day! Hugs, Jeannie
