My Dad's birthday is April 1st..and that will be here before I know it... so this is the card I came up for for him... I hope that he likes it!...thank you so much for looking!!

On another note... this morning my son's friend Matt met him him here for a 3 day hiking trip... and my son showed off one of my cards!!!... it made my day!!... say prayers for the hikers, there are 5 of them, over the next three days for me!... Hugs, Jeannie

CRICUT & GYPSY
George
Dad regular cut and shadow cut .. cut @ h 1.63 the same on all ...D's w 0.77, A w 1.07...on the Cricut I would cut these @ 1 1/2 inches.
"You Take The Cake"  cut @ h o.65...to get the width move the letter where the are over lapping in the words... with space between the words... then make sure they are grouped together... and welded...then set the width for the whole set of letters @ 4.61... on the Cricut I would cut these letters at 3/4 an inch.
Horizontal line is a tall rectangle turned sideways cut @ w 0.17 x h 4.55... using the Cricut I would cut this on a paper trimmer.
I welded the shadow of the "DAD" the "you take the cake" and the shadow of the cupcake to the horizontal line.
Celebrations
Cupcakes, the cupcake shadow and their layers cut @ h 2.18 set the height and the width will be right...on the Cricut I would cut the cupcake at 2 1/4 inches.

This is cute. I love cupcakes....I like the mini ones so that no one can put how many candles I really am on them =)
So cool that your dad's birthday is on April's fool......if he gets a paper cupcake does he get a real one too =)

I hope your son and his friend's enjoy their hiking trip....we are due in for some snow again =P

Hey Jeannie! It's so nice to 'meet' you! Wow! I think your cards are fabulous!! I've made some basic cards now and then - but, as Matt said, scrapbooking is my favorite creative outlet. I've bookmarked your blog and tried to 'friend' you on facebook - but there's just too many of 'you' out there to narrow down. Please 'friend' me if you want - Judy Hardwick [the one with the sunflower] -- Matt's mom -

What a great card!! I love the saying "that takes the cake". It's a great card for your dad. Also, the papers you used for the cupcake are to die for! Yum Yum :)
