This is for my daughter, Madison who graduates from Jacksonville State University on 8.8.08...with a 4.o in Accounting... We are so proud of her... she liked that the date was 8.8.08 so that had to be included... and she loves penguins...so that added a little fun to the card... this was such a labor of love...but I have been a month with ideas floating around in my head...today I came up with this at work... I so hope she loves it... the colors and all seemed to call for a more crisp look... it was hard not to add ink...I hope it was the right choice...~~Jeannie

Stamped Stamp

Shelly used this cut from Base Camp and it inspired me to use a technique I used a couple of years ago... I learned it from a Scrapbook Solutions CD... you can't find these anymore and they had great ideas... I masked the stamp edges off... then used several stamps on the "stamp cut out"... the butterflies I stamped first and cut out... then I stamped them on the white stamp... masked them off with the cut out butterflies and stamped the rest of the images on top... at last removing the cut out butterflies....I hope this made sense to you...

Sympathy Card..for a Dear Friend

This card is for a dear friend of mine who lost her mother.... it saddened my heart so... I wanted it to be really special... The background paper reminded so much of "Miss Rheba's" mother somehow..and Carolem for the message board used this cross for a sympathy card recently and I knew that is what I had to use.... so with my birthday money I ran right out to get the cart.... I so hope that this card will warm "Miss Rheba's" heart... thank you for looking..~~Jeannie

A Seperation of Flowers

I thought of this card at work today and could not wait to get home to make it... it was making me crazy... do any of you ever feel that way??.... the only Cricut I have on here is from Pooh and Friends...and it is the flowers..they were cut twice at 3 1/4 inches...the square blue square that I first mounted them on is cut at 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide... I cut the second flowers apart to make the arrangement and mounted them on the blue square... the (and this was hard to make myself do) I cut the square with flowers into thirds...the yellow and pink paper each rectangle is mounted on is 1/2 inches wider and taller than the blue square...then I cut the side rectangles to fit...the butterflies are my Martha Stewart punch with rain dots added and glued only in the middle so the wings fold out...this is had to see when I scan the card in because laying them on the scanner flattens them.... I really hope ya'll like this one... please tell me what you think... ~~Jeannie

Dude You Rock

My son John-Robert will be 21 on the 21st... he is such an odd delightful mixture of a person you could meet... He is an RA camp counselor and has been since he was 15..a camper since age 8 and he loves it ..it is his passion..part of why he is becoming a teacher is so he can do this for the rest of his life...he also loves Heavy Metal music and delights in finding inspirational lines in the lyrics... and one of my favorite things about him is he believes "happiness is a choice, you can always find the good in something, always. I choose to find the good I choose to be happy"...he know I hate skulls and likes to tease me about them so he will be so surprised by this card... I hope he loves it... thanks for looking ~~Jeannie
