Cardvark Challange

I saw that Michelle had entered this Chardvark Challange http://caardvarks.blogspot.com/ and I had a card I had already made that I was hoping would be good for it... I am reposting it for the challange. I used the Walk In My Garden Cricut cart for the flowers and brads black white and red paper and a white gel pen and black Sharpie marker....I hope they like it.

BUTTERFLY SQUARES

This is my most favorite yet... I used the Paper Doll fairy wings to make the butterflies..they are cut twice at 1.25 inches once in velum and once in floral... and inked around the edges... the flowers are cut a .5 inches from Walk In My Garden on shadow blackout... the card is 5x5 the base paper is cut at 4.75x4.75...I ran it through my Zyron upside down... applied each white 2x2 square after I ran the base paper through the sticker maker... then I added clear glitter to the spaces... I love this effect.... the glitter also stuck around the flowers because the edges were a little sticky from the Zyron...the center of the flowers were made with a white gel pen.

COMPUTER FRIENDS

I just had to have this stamp when I saw it... it made me think of the friend I have made on the computer... who are great!!... House Mouse stamp of course... "friends" was cut from the Cricut cart Opposites Attract at 3/4 inch and the tag was cut from Stretch Your Imagination at 3 3/4 inches... used colored pencils to color and mineral spirits and make-up q-tips to blend the colored pencils... this is for all my computer friends out there... you know who you are!!

I had this new stamp just had to make something with it... its a Hobby Lobby clearance... and I just love the pinks and browns together... I cut the "b" with Plantin Schoolbook at 4 inches... the I used my sewing machine..and a brown ink pad ... hand ruffled the pink ruffle... hope you like..thanks for looking.

BEE HAPPY

I found this Bee stamp at Hobby Lobby not on clearance...but had to have it anyway.. I didn't even have a 40% coupon for it... but it was so cute I just had to have it... then my friend Wanda, who inspires me so much, made a card with a pot of flowers and I scraplifted it so I would have a place for my bee... Thank you Wanda!!!... all my cuts are from the Cricut Walk In My Garden cart... the flower pot is cut at 3 inches and so are the stems...the nested flowers including the inside one are cut at 1/2 inch intervals starting at 1/2 inches and going to 3 inches... I used Pumpkin Pie colored ink from Stampin Up to ink my pot... flowers and card... and a brown Sharpie for the doodles... hope that you like...

I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday... found this stamp on clearance and colored it with colored pencils blended with orderless mineral spirits ... and the paper was on sale!!! yea...got lots....the letters are cut at 1 inch with a shadow from the Cricut Stamped cart... I just loved the saying... and the sneakers with the dress!!

Its a simple card hope you like

I have no details on this card... I made it for a good friend at work...wanted it to be really nice... and semi started over 3 times... reusing something from the firs then second card on to the third... by the time I finished I have no idea how to tell you what I did... do you ever have one of those kind of creative making sessions??

HAPPINESS WOW

I decided to look at some coloring books at the store today... wow a whole host of "stamped" images... I loved this one...took it home scanned it shrunk it and colored it with colored pencils which I blended with odorless mineral spirits...I just love love this little butterfly... My "cartner in crime" Shelly will too... I cut the flowers with the Cricut cart Walk In My Garden all at 1 inch... the leaves are from the same cart at .5 and .75 inches... the swirlies are from the center of the leaves...the bee's on the background paper are a Stampin Up stamp.... the inside matches but I choose not to post it this time... its a "Jeannie" inside....

God Gives Us Rain...

This is for another friend of mine... I used a House Mouse stamp... colored with colored pencils and blended with mineral spirits... on the rain I used Liquid Glass... the flowers are from the Walk In My Garden cart... the corners are from the Jasmine cart... on the flowers it says "God gives us rain so we know our friends"..the inside flower says "Thank you"... its hard to see in the picture.

I made this for a really supportive friend of mine... I hope that she loves it.... The wings are from Paper Doll Cricut Cart @ 3 inches real dial size.... the center is a piece of paper I rolled up... the squares holding the words are from a Creative Memories Punch...

IF YOU NEED ME

I have both of my kids going off to two different colleges this August ... I thought of them when I looked at this stamp and Woodstock looked as if he was watching over something... I masked off the stamp to get the bird in the grass.... The letters are from Alphalicious cart at 1 inch with a shadow... the "i" in if was larger and the "f" even larger than that but I don't remember how large... the flowers were from Accent Essentials cart at .75 inches and 1 inches...

Happy Birthday To You!

I was laying down trying to take a much needed nap... this card came to me and I couldn't sleep... I hope that you can tell in just a second or two what it is saying without a title...

I used Paper Pups Cricut cart at 2 inches real dial size on the wagging tail and the sun.... I got the bird off the top of the dogs head...so I had to cut it at 5 inches real dial size to make the bird large enough... I didn't use a whole piece of paper... just placed a 4x4 piece of red paper about where I though the bird would cut out at so I wouldn't waste a huge piece of paper.... the 2 and you are from the Printing Press cart at 1.75 real dial size and so is the "!".....

I really want to know what you girls think of this one..

Bloom Where You Are Planted

This is really a simple card... I used a coloring book image scanned and reduced .... then used colored pencils and mineral spirits to color it... the tag is from the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Cricut cart cut @ 4.5 inches... I had to cut it that big to get the width and trim the bottom and use a corner rounder on the bottom corners... I cut the letters from the Mickey Font cart at .75 inches and the flowers are a punch... Bloom Where You Are Planted was what the picture screamed at me when I saw it....
