 I have been working on this set for about a week now... I am loving baby blankets...didn't think that I would.  I Loom Knitted this blanket and finished it off with a crochet border.  I loom knitted the hat and added some crochet to the trim of the hat to make it match the blanket and the booties are crocheted.  Thank you for looking!

I have been working on this set the past week...started over on the blanket 3 times...but finally got the look I wanted for the center... The blanket is knitted on my DaLooms Infinity loom... and then I added a crochet border... the hat is knitted on one of my Knifty Knitter round looms...then I added a crochet border to match the blanket.... and then I used a pattern (don't faint)...I motified the pattern a bit to get the look that I wanted... I ended up with two sets of booties...one for a giant baby... the patter called for an H hook... I ended up using a G hook on the second pair so they would fit a baby... I did a few other changes too...so excited that I am learning!  Learning new things is so much fun. Too bad I didn't know that when I was in school!!... :o)   Thanks for looking... Hugs, Jeannie

I saw a hat a while back that had two of the sweetest ruffles on it...I loved it and had no idea how to do these ruffles.... the look to be knitted onto the hat... and I don't use needles... I use looms... so I though oh well. Lately I have been teaching myself to crochet... a friend taught me a few things years ago...so I thought surely I could figure this all out... so I have been playing... and learning....  woke up in the middle of the night one day and said...oh I know how to make a ruffle on a hat... later that day I went to work adding crochet to my knitted hat.... I had done this with a shawl...now I was going to try it on a hat... and it worked...I was too excited.  Thank you for looking!  Hugs, Jeannie

I found a pattern at Hobby Lobby hanging in front of this thread.... I thought this is just beautiful I must make one... As you know, if you know me much at all ... I hate reading and following patterns... most all of my work is something I get in my head...often from things I see.  It is kind of like my aunt who plays the piano beautifully but can't read a lick of music.  It is a different talent is how I like to think of it.  Anyway I read the pattern to see if I could follow it... and got the concept of what made this work...I went to work on the concept instead of following the pattern... I was so excited to make this...I had some leftover yarns and I loved the look of the tri shawl that I made. The mixture of knitting with crochet really makes me happy... I like the look that you can accomplish combining the two techniques...now to learn how to take it to the next level.  Fiber Art is so much fun... the possibilities are limitless... just wish I had started 20 years sooner there is so much to learn.  Thank you for looking!! This is a prayer shawl that I made for my dear friend, Lisa.. she touches my life all the time... and is special to my heart. I wanted to show her how much I appreciate her.  I tried a prayer shawl pattern.. it was really pretty but not as soft and as airy as I wanted... So I created this pattern on my own.. I love the yarn... it has some mohair twisted in with it..and a little sparkle...just enough.. it just wove up so pretty!.. the mohair made it a little tricky to weave... but well worth the effort.  I love, love my weaving looms.  There is lots of pictures..I have some pictures in progress.. I love this yarn it is  Trendsetter Yarns Dune yarn...and I used my new DaLooms Prayer Shawl Loom...now to make a prayer shawl on it. I was surprised with a trip to Yarnation...and two story yarn store in Memphis...by sweet daughter, Madison and my son-in-law, Cory took me there for Mother's Day...and Robby added to my wonderful gift certificate... I got to really splurge on some beautiful... the yarn I chose to use on my 3ft tri loom is a beautiful Tahki Yarns Angel yarn...it is a core spun yarn and Cory said it reminded him of the ocean... it does look like the ocean or the sea... I did a new first for me...I made twisted fringe... So you can fully appreciate the fringe I will explain...you take two strand... twist each strand to the right the same number of times... I rolled each in my fingers 6 rolls...then you take the two strands together and roll them the same number of times the other way ...then tie a knot...I love the look...but the fringe alone took me about 6 hours. This is my favorite yarn creation so far!!...love it when I get to say that, it means I am learning!!  Thank you so much for looking!  Hugs, Jeannie

I saw a scarf like this in an older Spin Off magazine and feel in love... I tried using needles to accomplish this since that is what the author of the article did...but I had no luck with needles.. So I got out my trusty Knifty Knitter...the Adult Hat one.. it's the purple one that comes in a single pack... and I went to work recreating the design on my loom... I loved the look of this.. I had to tie up the ends I just could not figure out another way to bind off the ends that looked pretty... Thank you so much for looking!!  Hugs Jeannie

I made this on my 6 ft rectangle weaving loom.. it is just over 6 inches wide... It is made to weave diagonally but I wanted to try something a little different with my left over yarns... I used a chunky yarn and a lace weight yarn... My husband really loved how it turned out.. I like it lots... but I like making more feminine things best.  It was fun to try something new... thank you for looking!..Hugs Jeannie

Here are a few things that I have been working on... I have had several things going on at once and got a couple of them finished.... Will tell you a little about each one.

This yarn in this tri loom scarf inspired me to get some things finished so I could play with my new yarn. My daughter, Madison and my son-in-law, Cory took me to this amazing yarn store, Yarnation in Memphis when we visited for Mother's day. They had me a gift certificate so I got to splurge on some amazing yarn.. this is my first creation...and I have some of this yarn left over!!... so excited at how this turned out! I did a first on this one... I made twisted fringe... I love how it looks..but boy on boy it takes a while.. the fringe itself took about 5 hours... .Hugs Jeannie

I saw a scarf like this in a spinning magazine...I actually tired to do it on needles... but I had to go back to my wonderful looms... love my looms...I did this one on one of my KK... I love the look of the thin and thick yarn... I was really proud that I could accomplish this look... I am learning all the time... I love learning new things.

I did this on my rectangle weaving loom... inspired by the scarf above to try the thick and thin yarn in a different way.  Instead of weaving diagonally I tried running the thick yarn horizontally and the thin yarn vertically. It was great to use left over yarns in a new and creative way. My husband really loves this scarf... it is a good and different masculine scarf. Thank you so much for looking!  Hugs Jeannie
