Have I said latley that I LOVE LOOM KNITTING!!I am so excited about this set...I purchased this yarn at one of the yarn stores I visited last week...I couldn't wait to make this cocoon/hat set with this yarn. It is wonderful yarn... I love it...my first Alpaca yarn... I love the colors. This store that I found grown their own alpacas and then spins and dies their yarns... I think I am hooked...which is a bad thing... I believe that I am slowly becoming a yarn snob... this could get expensive! Thanks for looking! ~Hugs, Jeannie
A photographer contacted me and wanted me to make him a couple of toboggans and after a couple of emails decided he wanted cocoons to match. For a boy he wanted earth tones...and he needed this one first.. I really loved how it turned out... I added a pom pom to it... it is in the last picture.. I just tied it on with a bow so its removable.....I just sent him a picture I home he loves it as much as I do.. cross your fingers for me. Hugs, Jeannie
This is the third Cowl/Infinity Scarf that I am making for a friend of mine at Church...she ask for the...on I didn't post because it is exactly like the black one I made before. I was excited at how this one turned out. I love how much the little ring of yarn added. I did the on my long purple KK loom... I used both sides and did the box stitch... I love this stitch for scarves...it is soft and plush and the ribbing adds so much to simple yarn. Thank you so much for looking. Hugs, Jeannie
I got this in my head a few nights ago...then I found a couple of yarn stores about 40 minutes away and had a chance to go and check them out. One of the ladies, a needle knitter was so helpful...and encouraging about my looming. I told here that I wanted to make the ruffle and how I had it in my head...she told me I was on the right track and gave me a couple of pointers...well I put a few projects on hold to try this with my new yarn... this is my progress.... but now I have to stop and make a few items that I have promised. I am beyond excited about this scarf!!...Thank you so much for looking! Hugs, Jeannie
I know this one looks a lot like the first one that I made...but the stitch is different...this stitch is a Single Moss Stitch... I love the diamond shape that you can really see in the hat which was knit on a smaller gauge loom. My aunt ask me to make it for my cousin for her. I hope they both love it. I loved making it!! Thank you so much for looking!! Hugs, Jeannie
I made this for a friend of mine at Church, she ask me to make make her 3 one black, one brown and one white... I plan to make them all different... I hope that she enjoys them. I made this one on my Largest Round Knifty Knitter... I knitted on a flat panel using half the loom... Thank you so much for looking!Hugs, Jeannie
This is for my brother, Jamie. He is a Fireman and he ask for these... the black and the stripe is a fireman thing... The scarf took me 3 days...and I knitted lots and lots and lots...the scarf has around 11088 stitches + /- a few... the scarf is 6 feet long and 7 inches wide. I am really proud at how it turned out. I used my Purple KK Loom on both. The red stripe in the hat is knitted in... the red stripes in the scarf were added after I finish....and re-added then re-added...now I know the trick. I hope Jamie love this...because I love my brother so much!
I got my mom into loom knitting too. She gave everybody hats for Christmas... they were such a hit she is making sure everybody has Christmas hats for next year... this is what she has started... I would love your comments!!...To share with her! Hugs Jeannie
I made this on my largest round Knifty Knitter loom... it is my favorite scarf/hat so far. My daughter, Madison ask me to make it for her mother-in-law. I had made Madison one for Christmas and she work it to Cory's family Christmas... Judi loved her scarf/hat... now she will have one of her own. I tried it on to see how it fits... it is so so warm...I need to make me one before next winter!!...I so hope that Judi loves it.
My pastor asked me to make his to sweet daughters a toboggan.... I have had them on my looms a few days until I could get their measurements today... now I am worried about the height...but it falls under the heights of youth hats... the green and cream hat I made on my youth size DaLooms loom and the (cross your fingers its big enough). The black hat I made on my Purplep KK round loom. I used three strands of #4 yarn on it... love how bulkey this was... I did the Double Moss Stitch on this hat it is so think and warm.. I am really proud of them both... I will be gald when I get more experience under my belt and don't worry so much that I have the fit right. Thank you so much for looking!! Hugs, Jeannie
I have been busy though you can't tell in pictures because I have two hats on looms waiting to get measurements for the height so I will have a perfect fit... Hope to finish those Monday!! I am excited about this set.. the stitches on the hat match the stitches on the cocoon except that I used a finer gauge loom for the hat. This set is for a baby shower gift for a young lady at our Church... I hope that she loves it... I think babies are so sweet in them...and they make wonderful picture props... They think the baby is a boy... but I wasn't sure so I went with the white.
There is a baby shower coming up at Church on the 16th of the month... I made this hat and I want to make a cocoon to go with it with the same stitch but larger... I think that will be a fun present... what do you think?? I had an old needle knitting book... where I tried...I repeat tried to needle knit several years ago... I found this double moss stitch in the book and converted it to loom instructions... I made this on my fine guage infant loom...on strand of #4 yarn......I really like the soft look it gave this baby hat. Thank you so much for looking!
