Friends

There is more to this card then you can see good in the scan....it all started with that beautiful butterfly that Carole Beath surprised me with ... thank you so much Carole ... I had to find just the right paper for it.... and finally I did ... "Basicgrey"...the orange on the left side is a different piece from the background paper trimmed down the right scaloppeeee edge...the large flower overlapping it is trimmed around so that it will overlap the orange paper..there are pop dots placed under the edge of the flower to make it pop off the page... pop dots are under the butterfly too... I cut up some rhinestone clearance snowflakes to add to the butterfly body and to the flowers... I also used rain dots on a couple of the flowers and the butterfly... the tr.io of dragonflies and a butterfly are a stamp added to the paper...I learned this from Shelly...thanks Shelly

Card for my step-mother.

This is for my step-mother, I always take her Mothers Day present to her on Fathers Day... this paper is so pretty it was hard to do anything with it... it actually looks better in person...I added the dark green lies to the leafs on the paper after I had added it to the cut leafs to make it match better... the leaf is cut twice the top layer is pop dotted the bottom layer is attached directly to the paper...its not a bad card but not one of my favorites.....Thanks for looking ~~Jeannie

Nancy on the Halkmark message boards did one of these buses with animals hanging out and a Christmas tree on top.... I put a little different spin on it... I could just picture a little boy..(mine son is a red head with a big imagination when he was little)...with his pets planning a trip in a broken down SUV... the tires are flattened... and there is rust on the bus... its hard to see in the picute.....and of course any excuse to use those cute little Garden Brads.....I had so much fun making this one! ~~Jeannie~~ Thanks for looking.

TOGETHER WE CAN

A friend of my son, John-Robert asked me to make a card for his girlfriend of 17 months...she is flying in next week .... I now always make two cards just alike so I will have some cards on hand ... Cory's card for his girlfriend is just like this one except it says "Together we have been on top of the world for 17 months"... I didn't need two of those so I changed the wording for a sweetheart or a friend in need of support... I was tickled with this one... thanks for looking. ~Jeannie

Boy this one was tough... When I got in the middle of it I thought there was no way I was going to make it pretty!!!!... I use my Cricut Stretch Your Imagination cart for the tricycle cut it at 3.5 inches... it cuts big... I cut the Flourishes one at 4 inches one at 5 inches...the one on the inside is cut at 3.5 I think... I used Rain Dots for the center of the punched flowers which I pop dotted... the flourishes on the corner flowers are cut from the leftover paper when I cut the flourishes .... I dotted and squiggled with a white gel pen... and a green Sharpie....and I used a Garden Brad..see if you can find him...I love love those Garden Brads...
